about me
I have always loved a challenge and I thrive on innovation. In the early 1990s, I was swept into the technology boom, entering into a career in tech as the first woman hired to a team working on Y2K, reporting to the CTO. During my 10-year tenure, I was diagnosed with colitis. A simple question about changing my diet, a harsh laugh, and gaslighting by the attending doctor completely changed my career. I went back to school for a Master’s in Human Nutrition, and a side hustle that became my life mission was born. In 2005, I co-founded Living Well Dallas Functional Medicine Center as was one of the first integrative functional medicine centers in Dallas. Living Well partnered with LWDMed PLLC practitioners, nutritionists, and mind-body experts. Since then, Living Well Dallas Functional Medicine Center has helped thousands of women overcome the challenges of menopause and hormone imbalances, autoimmune issues, digestive disorders, and metabolic challenges.
In 2019, I returned to pursue my Ph.D. in Integrative Functional Nutrition at Saybrook University, where my research focused on the intersection of hormone metabolism, the microbiome, and IBS in women.
During my research, I got angry, really angry. It was obvious that women’s research was in crisis. The Menrva Project was born. The Menrva Project is my most ambitious project to date, and it will revolutionize women’s health. Menrva is not only a technology platform, but it is also a research and telemedicine services company that is going to end the 100+ year gap in women’s health research.
I developed the Metabolic Blueprint®, a targeted line of nutrients and supplements designed to support midlife women.
I’m the co-author of the upcoming book Just Right, the podcast host of Menopause Mastery, and you may have seen me in the DocuSeries SHEaled and on NBC, BloomTV, Fox News Radio, CW33, and The Functional Forum.
This isn’t just my career—it’s my calling.
